Meet The Gwari

Do you know that the Gwari are the original inhabitants of the FCT?
Do you know that blue is their central unifying colour?
Do you know that the Gwari carry their loads on their shoulders because they honour the sacredness of the head?

Little is known about the beautiful and peaceful Gwari people, the original inhabitants and predominant ethnic group of the great city of Abuja. Gwari or Gbagyi (Gwarri/Gbari) are an ethnic group in  central Nigeria. They predominantly live in Niger, Kaduna, the Federal Capital Territory, Nassarawa and Kogi States.
