#Money: Financial Education Walk-A-Thon

The Financial Literacy Institute has been set-up for the purpose of enabling the financial inclusion strategy of the Central Bank of Nigeria which aims at broadening the formal financial sector by including those trapped in the informal money market to the formal sector. This has been
challenging especially in developing nations where information dissemination is still relatively slow due to several economic and developmental influences.

In this respect, the institute is organizing a financial education awareness campaign which has been tagged ‘‘Walk-a –Thon’’ in Abuja on Saturday, 22nd of August 2015. The campaign will serve as an opportunity to unite the community to raise awareness, introduce and educate the population on opportunities to use financial services responsibly and prudently.

The route for the campaign walk starts from: Unity Fountain Maitama - Transcorp NCC junction- Abia House - Ministry Of justice - Unity Fountain
