Rise 2 the Top (R2T) Conference is that event that is set to blow your mind and transform your mind and set you on the path of fulfilling your potentials.

Rise 2 the Top (R2T) Conference is a Leadership/Mentoring conference for youths. It is focused on raising leaders and change agents amongst the youths who will contribute meaningfully to National Development.

The first edition held in Abuja on the 29th of May, 2013. The second edition of the Rise 2 the Top (R2T) Conference is coming to University of Abuja with a bang. And will be coming up on Saturday 4th July 2015.

This year’s event is themed “Campus2Corporate” and is intended to prepare young undergraduates as well as fresh graduates for life outside the four walls of the tertiary institution.

Leading speakers on the day are Coach samOBAFEMI, Saryum Okorare, Akintayo Ayodele-Bamisaye, Prof. Hauwa Imam and Tosin Odedele amongst others. The focus of the event is to equip the participants with valuable information that can help transform their situations. Topics to be treated include how to make use of one’s talent and passion and turn it into an entrepreneurial venture, practical steps on how to set up a business, the role of youths in national development, how best to make a choice between the public and private sectors, ethics and values in the workplace, tips for writing a killer C.V, how to apply successfully for jobs amongst others.

Saryum Okorare is an expert Human Resource Manager (HR) and has been practising for several years for top organisations. As the HR Manager at Cotecna Limited (an International Trade Facilitation firm that consulted for Nigeria Customs Service), she supervised the daily personnel management needs of the company

At Techno-Brain WestBlue (an International Information Technology firm) she has conducted several recruitment exercises for potential employees and know what to companies always look for when hiring. She has deep knowledge in how to construct your C.V to catch the attention of potential employers and what questions to always prepare for during interviews. She will be sharing with participants how to swim in this river. Get ready to get the edge you need in the workplace

Foremost Life Coach, Peak Performance Coach, Anger Mastery Expert, Author and Entrepreneur Coach samOBAFEMI will also be speaking. Coach SamOBAFEMI graduated from the University with a degree in Computer Science and worked with one of the leading Payment Card institution in Nigeria. Coach samOBAFEMI left on high note to pursue his dream as an entrepreneur and he has consulted for Multinationals like MTN Nigeria, USAID/GECHAAN Taraba, Fate Foundation, LEAP Africa, POISE Nigeria Ltd

Professor Hauwa Imam is the Director of Center for Gender Security Studies and Youth Advancement. An ardent advocate of youth and women empowerment and strongly believes in the implementation of policies and schemes that would uplift the standard of living of youths and women will also address the participants. She will be giving the keynote address at the event.

The host, Tosin Odedele is a Leadership and Personal Development Coach with extensive experience in youth administration.

Having held leadership and administrative roles for the past 10 years in Youth Fellowships and organisations that he has been involved with in the past. He started out with a career in core IT and is now a seasoned Instructor. With a career that has seen him work in both the public and private sectors mostly interacting with the vibrant and energetic workforce of every organisation he’s been in, he is well aware of the challenges youths face in taking leadership roles as well as being in roles that under-utilize their potentials.

An alumni of DayStar Leadership Academy (DLA), Tosin Odedele will be speaking on the roles of youths for National Development that youths may stand up and take their place as leaders and change agents in the making of a great Nigeria.

The conference is packaged by The Edge Enterprise Networks (T.E.E.Ns), a youth-oriented organisation that is focused on raising leaders and change agents amongst the youths who will contribute meaningfully to National Development.
