Goal’15 is a charity football tournament, initiated to emphasize the need for the integration of the less privileged into the society as well as promote youth development in Nigeria, using soccer as its sole medium.

Following the first edition which took place in August 2014, Goal’15 has been reinstated to express the full idea behind the Goal initiative; as such, it will feature a week of activities, which will involve the children from four orphanages in Abuja, as well as the whole society.

The week of events is to begin with the Seminar and press conference which is slated to take place on the 4th of August, the seminar is to feature a list of dignitaries who will speak on the need for youth empowerment, the importance of eradicating disparities between the privileged and the less privileged in the society and the need to support the youth in their endeavours.

The week will also feature a visit to the orphanages featured, from the 5th to 6th. The football tournament is slated to take place on the 7th and 8th of August, at the CityBridge Sportsplex, City Park, Wuse 2, Abuja.  Tickets will be available at the venue, N3,000 is the general admission fee, as well as the minimum donation; percentages of the proceedings will be used to provide for the immediate needs of the orphanages and will also be used to support the orphanages in setting up means to generate funds.

The event will feature soccer matches, between teams from the respective orphanages and registered teams. There will also be musical performances as well as side attractions for the spectators to indulge. It promises to be a fun filled event as well as an impactful one.
